I'm working on a PC that when you try to use any search engine, I get a page stating " HTTP 400 Bad Request"

I even installed Chrome (had to get the installer from another PC) and it would install, but wouldn't even go to the home page.

I have had Norton Security Suite for business running on this machine & tried Malwarebytes too. No help.

Bottom line, can't use any search engines.

Sounds like a virus. What happens when you do a tracert google.com (or similar)? My guess is that the hosts file (or similar) has been jacked.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials and like it, plus it's free. Think you can download it and move it over, but not sure about updating. Worth a try, but I agree with DE, there's something on it. If possible, pull the HD, put it on a system with good anti virus and scan and fix if possible.

Other then that, hi PE! /wave

back up the data, fdisk, format, good to go. or you can go the long route, just depends on your tolerance for pain.
