That not only is prostitution legal in Germany, it's considered a viable occupation just as any other.
What this means is that anyone out of work (apparently both women and men) can and will lose their unemployment benefits if, lacking other forms of employment, have not at least sought out this form of employment and can prove they have been turned down.
Someone please prove me wrong. I read this somewhere, I researched it somewhat, and...it appears to be true.
