Diddley Bow - Homemade Guitar

I've been wanting to build a diddley bow for a while now.

Finally got around to it. Here's a video literally right after we finished putting the last screw in. Not too bad for not having done this before and this is what it sounded like right out of the gate.

Pretty frickin awesome. Good gritty sound. Is that hooked up to an amp?

Yeah, just a little mini powered monitor. Also running through a distortion pedal that you can just see sitting on the end of it (The green box).

Thanks Pure. I already have some ideas on how to improve the sound and get it to sound a bit more like the second video there. I think having all metal was a bad idea for one thing.

Hopefully in the next couple days I'll have some more time to tinker with it!
