Just passed the 2800 Barton and saved 200 bucks :w00t:
First attempt :D Not even breaking a sweat. This is at stock voltage and a 1C increase in temp.

Sweet. Now just don't get to tempted to crank up that cpu core voltage. :P

What are you using to OC your CPU? Are you just monkeying with the BIOS?

I still run my 1800 at stock...I need my CPU, and I'd hear an annoying, whining sound from the little lady if I smoked one and had to go get one from a local shop. I'm jealous of you guys running bartons, as my MB version limits me to 266-fsb athlons. My 1800 is running at 41-43 degrees celcius generally, so I have some room heat-wise, I guess. So, at stock speeds, the fastest chip I can handle is the 2600, not quite a 50% increase in speed, so I doubt I'll be going for one anytime soon.
OMG, I just realized, a puny sub-2 gigahertz chip is LOW END! How far we've come...I am currently trying to get a friend's Compaq 4/33 running well...it has a 33-SX (no math co-processor) chip, and 4 megs of on-board RAM! That's my first system! I told him that with 30 feet of solid chain, and half a bag of cement, he can make a top-rate boat anchor!
