View Full Version : How many 1.05 players?
I'm just curious how many members we have here that only play 1.05? There are a lot of names here I don't remember seeing on the 1.07 servers.

Well people say the 1.05 guys are affraid of 1.07, here is what i think:
People dont know about the patch, dont ask me how and why
People (like me) made alot of friends in 1.05 and thats why they dont want to move to 1.07
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
but dont be sad, im in 1.07 sometimes :w00t:
People say 1.07 are better then 1.05, here is what i think:
When i played in the only fragmatch server i saw the power of the hitting bullets was mental, that means your already dead when someone points his pistol (yes the pistol) at you. It is much easyer to kill people that way, just like the cannon users (like me! :wootrock: ).
Well people who call cannon users "cannon ****ers" are mostly Powerup Junkies.... so i think everyone has a favo thing he wants to use, if im fragging and i get a cool score again wich the deaths is 0 then people call me cannon pussy and cannon ****er, the next thing they do is get laser or shotty and serious damage.....
Im a bit unclear but i hope you get my point :WTF:

I think most 1,07 players are better!
I play both versions so I can give my opinion here.
There is much more competition in the 1.07 servers. Alos its too easy to get a 100-0 score in figona or Gax, the only thing holding me from getting the perfect is the timelimit or F9. In 1.05 the difficulty is on normal. So i can survive a few grenades. 200-200 health and armor actually matters!!! :w00t:
Also serious Damage is a much bigger factor in 1.05, if you get it you much more powerfull. If someone gets SD in 1.07 I still have a chance fragging them with a shotty. In 1.05 everybody hogs the pups. I wont touch them in 1.07, but in 1,05 I'll take it, cause its makes alot of difference. And If i dont get it, someon else will and hunt me down like a dog.
I think Hard is the best difficulty. Less ammo for the spammers. You can still have great shotty battles. And you can survive 1 or 2 grenades. This makes it harder for the spammers and alot more fun for the shotty players!!!
I agree with TUW about the difficulty. I like playing on serious, but hard is fun too. Normal makes the games last too long. Also, on normal mode it's difficult to have a shotty battle with someone because you end up getting killed first by someone spamming rockets, grenades, or cannon balls.

yup I agree with ya Sirc.
I think for someone just starting out in sam, the easier difficulty settings are a good way to get used to the play and all. Then as that person gets better, it gets more challenging in a harder difficulty setting. I just have adapted to the mental and the one below that. I am not sure, but I think the Outlaws servers are the same aren't they?? I know at one time, one was the highest difficulty and the other was one below that. Mixed it up a little, and gave a different aspect to playing the game. Like a little twist to it, which is good after playing the game almost approaching a year.

Why do you install two sam directories, for a 1.05 ver, and 1.07 ver??
