okay password set

if you as a clan memeber has not got a pm from me regarding the password please get back to me. i trust in many of you to give out the password to those who are not in a clan but frequent gm or a gm memeber. what i mean is if you know someone who is not in a clan but is a gm member and fully trust them please give them the password in good faith that they are going to play for the fun of the game.

you know i set the password and wonder if people know how to join a game with a password. you know why? because i do not know how to join a game that requires a password :bandhead: . i feel like homer simpson right now when he says doh!!!!!! ok can someone please explain for those who do not know how to join a game server that requires a password. i would appreciatte it :oooo:

Go to the Game_startup.ini file and double click it and add this:
net_strconnectpassword = "passwordgoeshere"

For those not comfortable editing their .ini file you can also type that in the console each time you load the game. Or fast way of doing it type net then hit your tab key until that appears in the command line and then just type in the password.

ok added it to the file and was easy. i dont think its that big of deal and saves alot of time to do it everytime you enter the server. a simple copy and paste and then add the password. i just got in and will pm the instruction to everyone incase they missed this.

I am a bit confused here, is this what you have to type to get into the server? I didn't see anyone in the server all evening yesterday. When do you type that then? I may be blond but I can't be the only one confused here. BigD - I PM'ed you as I am going away this weekend and this topic will be on page 11 when I get back and I will be the only one on the outside of the server looking in. :bawling: :wave:
