Music : Does it enhance your skill playing games?

Kinda interested what anyone thinks...if you listen to music you like while playing online or off, does it increase your performance at the game in your opinion?

i turn off all music and media players when playing...i like to hear footsteps behind me...

*jumps forward, turns around, pulls out shotty, nails BTW :P *

I prefer no background noise. Sometimes i'll put my headphones on to prevent this. I also have the sam music off. :)

NO SAM MUSIC: This is wierd as I LOVE the Sam background music, I think it lets you know what you are doing in the game, and not that you have thought you have killed someone, but havent, then they go and kick your teeth in.. :w00t: :rofl:

Other sounds I keep at 100% though so I can hear (or try to hear) what's around me. I only keep the song off.

My Sam music is off. It doesn&#39;t matter to me if I have other music on or not. Heck I sometimes play while watching TV at the same time. ;)

Uhhh my computer is in my room and I have a tv mounted on a wall, cause i have a loft bed. I can reach my keyboard and crap up tho, just need an eyelevel monitor. :lol:

Unless I&#39;m playing in some sort of tournament or clan match I&#39;ll have my own music playing; I don&#39;t really care for the sam music, but some Underworld or Hendrix helps me get in the zone sometimes. ;)
